Mini Priceline Haul

I popped by Priceline during the sale last week and picked up two Revlon Lip Butters and one Revlon Super Lustrous lipstick, even though we are heading into spring I gravitated to more Autumn/Fall colours. These are my first Revlon Lip Butters, I know I’m super late on these, however I thought they were just another lip balm range with very sheer washes of colour (boy was I wrong) and it wasn’t worth it for the $21.95 price tag these have here in Australia, luckily I saw they were only $13.17 so I picked up a couple of highly pigmented ones that I really liked, lip and arm swatches in natural light are below.

001 Pink Truffle, 460 Blushing Mauve, 010 Raspberry Pie

001 Pink Truffle

010 Raspberry Pie

460 Blushing Mauve
001 Pink Truffle is a really pretty pink-brown nude, for me it’s a ‘my lips but better shade’.

010 Raspberry Pie is a pinky raspberry colour, definitely leaning more on the pink side, it’s one of the most pigmented lip butters.

460 Blushing Mauve is a gorgeous dusty nude pink with a pearl finish, I could see this being my new favourite drug store lipstick.

Hope you have enjoyed this small haul and my first ever lip swatch post, please feel free to leave me feedback (nice and constructive of course) and let me know what posts you would be interested in seeing in the future?

10 products I would repurchase…

This is quite an old tag but I watched a video on YouTube with this tag recently (I can’t remember who posted it for the life of me!) and I found it really interesting to see which 10 products people feel the need to repurchase immediately if they had to part with their entire makeup collection. I feel like I could live with the following 10 products I am about to mention for quite a few months until my makeup addiction kicks in again and I need to buy more!

Loreal Infalliable 18hr Foundation 30ml

In the beauty world I find that this foundation is not often raved about, I’m not sure if my skin just really agrees with the formula but I am in love!! It’s a nice and light weight liquid foundation with a medium to full coverage, I’m not sure about it lasting 18 hours but it does last for me all day when I am working, even on a hot day and it has never caused me to break out. I can use one pump to cover my face when using my fingers but if I use a brush I usually need two also it does have quite a dewy finish so I do like to set it with a powder, especially in summer. I have used this foundation for years and have numerous backups in my foundation drawer so I am sure I would be happy with this being my only foundation if my collection ceased to exist. (It has now come to my knowledge that this foundation may be discontinued as there is a new Loreal Infalliable 24HR foundation now on the market which I am yet to try)

this color (605) is really pale for me at the moment as i have a tan

Mac Pro longwear concealer in NW20 9ml $32 from MAC Australia

I have only been using this product for 6 months but it truly is amazing, it is one of the only concealers I have that does not crease. This concealer also doubles as an eye shadow primer as it is slightly tacky when not set with a powder, allowing the shadows to stick but still allowing easy blending and also neutralises any veins and discolouration on the eye lids. A little goes a long way with this product and it can be easily blended with fingertips alone, my only problems with it is with the pump It’s hard to control how much you get out as one pump is way too much so the only improvement would be a change in the packaging to something like a doe foot applicator, otherwise I think this will definitely go on to be my holy grail concealer.

Rimmel Stay Matte transparent powder 14g $12.95 from Priceline

This is my favourite setting powder, however less is definitely more as a quick sweep across the face sets my makeup beautifully, applying too much of this powder will lead to it looking slightly cakey. I always buy it in the shade transparent so I can wear it no matter how pale or tanned I am and the best thing is this is a drugstore product so it won’t hurt my bank account so much when it’s time to repurchase.

Too Faced Chocolate Soleil bronzer in Medium Deep 9.9g $30 USD from Beauty Bridge

This is an amazing bronzer for giving the skin a sun kissed glow and it’s also really nice for contouring as it doesn’t come across orange at all. The Chocolate Soleil bronzer is very easy to blend and is nice and buildable so this shade will work well on most fair-medium skin tones, I found its not as dark as I thought it would be, I really love this product and could see myself repurchasing it when I run out.

The Balm Frat Boy blush 8.5g $21 USD from The Balm

I absolutely LOVE this blush, I have been using it for almost a year and am yet to hit pan (however there is a considerable dint), that’s how generous The Balm is with the quantities of their blushes. This blush gives the skin a beautiful peachy-pink glow, and is super easy to blend and also build colour, in my opinion it’s the perfect every day blush.

MAC Soft and Gentle Mineralize Skin Finish 10g $47 from MAC Australia

MAC’s Soft and Gentle MSF gives the skin a gorgeous but natural glow, it’s not too over the top pigmented (like The Balm’s Mary Lou Manizer which I reserve for special glowy and fancy occasions) so it can be worn as an everyday highlighter to give the skin some dimension and life. The colour of this highlighter is a very neutral vanilla shade with a pretty frosty sheen, suitable for most skin tones.

Benefit Gimme Brow in Medium/Deep 3g $22 from Benefit USA

This faily new product from benefit makes filling in my brows such a quick and easy job, the colour matches my brows perfectly, plus the small fibres in the gel fill in any gaps throughout my brows and sets them solid for the day. I am already on my second tube and this would definitely be one of the first products I would re-purchase if I had to say goodbye to all my makeup.

Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara 7.65g $30.30 $24.60 on Beauty Bay

This is definitely my holy grail mascara! It works so well for my lashes, it lengthens, separates, adds lots of volume and holds the curl of my lashes for the entire day! However I am a firm believer that mascara works differently for everyone, it all depends on many factors, such as how long your lashes are, how many you have, the shape of your natural lash curl and even your eye shape. I do think this is an amazing mascara and if you haven’t already tried it I would recommend getting your hands on it and hopefully you will find your holy grail mascara too.

Stila In The Moment eye shadow palette $39 from Urban Outfitters

It may seem like an odd choice to not choose an all neutral palette with tonnes of shades and a handful of mattes but I really love this palette. I love metallic, shimmery shades and this palette is perfect for that because there is only one colour that doesn’t fit that criteria which is Desire (matte vanilla shade). I can create a few different looks with this palette; I could go with a neutral everyday eye, then have a neutral smoky eye by introducing Catalyst (black shade) into the outer v and also a pretty purple eye using the gorgeous purple shades in this palette. I love that this palette has a lot of purple because it’s one of the best colours to compliment my brown eyes, if you have brown eyes like I do I would definitely recommend giving this palette a go.

MAC angel lipstick 3g $36 from MAC Australia

MAC Angel is a yellow-toned light-medium pink with soft silver micro-shimmer which has categorized this lipstick as a Frost finish, I love it for everyday wear and it will go with almost any makeup look as it is such a simple but pretty pink shade.

Thanks for checking out my post! I tag all my fellow beauty bloggers to give this tag a go <3

Urban Decay Vice 2 palette review & swatches

Hey beauty lovers,

So here’s my attempt at a review and honest opinion on the limited edition Vice 2 palette by Urban Decay.

Firstly I love the packaging! The pallets case is a strong plastic with a mixed purple marbled finish to it and it has a button you press which automatically opens it up! It has a very large mirror (spans the entire inner lid of the palette) which makes this pallet great to travel with because you could use that mirror easily to do your entire face of makeup.

The palette also comes with a dual ended brush, both ends are quite dense and firm but aren't very fluffy, the smaller end seems like it would work really well to pack on colour to the outer V and then blend but I don’t think I will use the other side of the brush as my Sigma E40 will do a much better job with blending.

Colors:

Contains 20 beautiful, highly pigmented shades. You receive 0.8 grams of each shadow which comes to 16g of eyeshadow all up.

My favourites: Shellshock, Strike, Damaged, Voodoo, Toxic, Ambush and Rewind

Explanation: I am a sucker for metallic bold shades!

-Shellshock is the perfect all over lid colour for a silver smokey eye look.

-Strike is my absolute favourite from this palette, I love metallic gold and this shade looks amazing as an all over lid colour for a party/smokey look!

-Damaged is a beautiful, easily blended jeweled tone forest green, perfect for a Christmassy look.

-Voodoo for me is such a unique colour and the dusky purple will be the perfect addition to create a party smokey eye with a pop of colour.

-Toxic is the perfect rose gold colour in my opinion and would look amazing as a crease colour!

-Ambush is one of the most pigmented shades in the palette and is the perfect golden-brown shade when packed into the crease or outer V and turns into such a pretty rosy copper colour when blended out.

-Finally Rewind is the only dark matte transition shade in the palette but it is a great one and for my skin one it works amazingly.

Least favourites: Lovesick and X-rated

Explanation: I more so don’t love that there is 2 black shades that are so similar, would have loved to see a burgundy jeweled tone shade instead of Lovesick and as far as X-rated goes I’ve never really used a light pink when creating a look for my eyes, I don’t think the colour really suits me but I will try to use it in some way.

I’m not very experienced in blogging about shades and palettes so I am going to keep it simple and leave the rest up to you! If you would like a very in depth review on the Vice 2 palette visit temptalia.com

Here’s all of my swatches first with the flash and then without, enjoy!

Smokeout, Lovesick, Shellshock, Coax & X-Rated
